Two Linked BibleView Windows

Two Linked BibleView Windows

Class Objective: In this class, we show you how to open two BibleView Windows, and link them for viewing verses in one from the other window.

Why would you want to do this?

First of all, you must understand that theWord has a “default” manner of showing verses. This is for basic use. What I mean by that is that when a BibleView window has verse references in it (this can be from cross-references, from a commentary showing in the BibleView window, etc), then the default behavior of TW is to move the Bible to that reference when you click on it. This is basically okay and good, but maybe not always.

For example, if you are studying a passage in John, and you have various other things open, such as TSK as a commentary in that BibleView Window. In this case, you want the Bible in that BibleView to stay open to your sermon study passage (in John). So you can only mouseover the verse references, but if you click on them, you will move the Bible to them. You need to move the Bible to them to copy them into the clipboard for example.

You know, I work hard at my websites trying to provide you with good material that is sound doctrinally-speaking and of interest to God's people. It is hard work, but I don't mind doing it, and I feel called to the ministry, and God will bless me after all is said and done. But in the meantime, I do need to cover my expenses. I have a total of 34 websites (half English and half Spanish), and each one costs about $10 per month to keep up. That does not take into consideration my time and effort in writing content. Won't you consider at least a one time donation to this ministry of $10 or $20 dollars? It would be really great if you could gift me and my wife this money so that we could enjoy eating out at least once in a while. (I pay the expenses for these sites out of our living expenses.) God will richly bless you and repay you for your generosity. 1 Timothy 5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. If you received some value from my websites, consider at lest a small donation. A big donation would really be nice, too though.

Opening another BibleView window will help you overcome this cumbersomeness.

Click on the icon below the eye which is like a new Bible window icon (or just make sure you are in the BibleView window and click W). This will duplicate your Bible Window. Now in the new window click on the eye icon, and it will be the target for when you click on Bible verses in the first BibleView window.
